The boos began in the 3rd quarter when the Minnesota Timberwolves started to pull away, just as they had in the 1st 2 clashes of the matchup. As the Wolves continued to dominate on the court, the fans boos became louder and louder.
When Game 3 was nearing its end, most of the fans had already left the venue after the Suns’ disappointing match.
Minnesota defeated Phoenix 126-109, a franchise that started the campaign with championship ambitions, on the brink of being sweep in the 1st round of the postseason.
It also placed the Wolves 1 victory away from winning their 1st postseason matchup since 2004.
“The fans expect so much of our team, and they pay their hard-earned money. They can react how they want to react,” shared Phoenix superstar Kevin Durant, who had 25 points. “It’s on us as basketballers to use it as fuel, and hopefully, it helps us to win Game 4.”
