The Suns have won 12 of 16 as it waits for Durant, who was dealt to the desert by the Brooklyn Nets just before the trade deadline, to return from a knee injury to make his debut.
He is recovering from a sprained MCL in his right knee but is expected to return soon.
Three-time All-Star Terrence Ross set a franchise record with 1,052 career 3-pointers.
Josh Okogie scored 15 points, Deandre Ayton added 14 points and 11 rebounds and Cam Payne scored 14 points off the bench for Phoenix.
The Suns hosted a 57th straight sellout crowd with 17, 071 spectators watching the game at Footprint Center.
Isaiah Joe led the Thunder, who missed All-Star guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander with right ankle soreness, with a career-high 28 points and Jalen Williams added 22 points.
Oklahoma host the Sacramento Kings while the Suns visit the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday.
