Devin Booker finished with 25 points, Chris Paul had 16 and the Phoenix Suns showed impressive depth even without their new star Kevin Durant to defeat the Oklahoma City Thunder 124-115 on Friday night.

The Suns have won 12 of 16 as it waits for Durant, who was dealt to the desert by the Brooklyn Nets just before the trade deadline, to return from a knee injury to make his debut.

He is recovering from a sprained MCL in his right knee but is expected to return soon.

The Suns hosted a 57th straight sellout crowd with 17, 071 spectators watching the game at Footprint Center.

Isaiah Joe led the Thunder, who missed All-Star guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander with right ankle soreness, with a career-high 28 points and Jalen Williams added 22 points.

Oklahoma host the Sacramento Kings while the Suns visit the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday.
