The 34-year-old Durant, acquired from the Brooklyn Nets on Feb. 9 as part of a four-team trade involving the Indiana Pacers and Milwaukee Bucks, hasn’t played since Jan. 8 due to an MCL sprain.
He is expected to add dynamic scoring to a Suns squad in the heat of the playoff race.
The Suns sit fifth in the Western Conference thanks to Chris Paul’s strong veteran presence and top scorers Devin Booker and Deandre Ayton.
Durant averaged 29.7 points per game and 6.7 rebounds in 39 contests before being traded to Phoenix.
