James Harden notched poorly for a 2nd match in a row against Boston, and the Philadelphia 76ers were also defeated for 2nd straight game by Boston Celtics in the East Conference ½ finals.
Joel, who was given his MVP award in a ceremony before the clash, shared what he told his teammate.
“I aspire; you just talk to him, and you continue telling him to keep notching,” the MVP winner shared after his team lost in their 1st game at home from the series.
“Be combative. You can’t be too satisfied, but you also can’t be too down. In some matches, you’ll score a lot of shots, and in some games, you will miss them. So, the most important thing is to have influence in other ways even if your shots are poor.”
The Beard had a very bad Game 3 in Philly, but the team needs him to play better if they want to eliminate Boston and clinch the finals in the Eastern Conference.
It’s clear that James Harden is not being the aggressive version of James Harden we saw with Joel Embiid on the floor
I really feel the root of all of this is in his own head. There are shots he is passing up on that he simply shouldn’t. Sixers need him to be a true co-star
