The Villains were 16th in the EPL and fighting for their place in the league when Emery replaced Steven Gerrard in November 2022.
The Spaniard led the club to a 7th-place finish and place in the Europa Conference League, Aston Villa’s 1st qualification for European tournament since 2010–11.
This campaign, they are in the 4th place in the league and are fighting for a place in the Champions League. Unai’s side is 6 points ahead of Spurs, but the North London club have 2 matches in hand.
The manager revealed he and his backroom staff “share the vision of the owners” and “know how to take the team to an even greater level.”
Aston Villa will play against Chelsea, Brighton, Liverpool, and Crystal Palace until the end of the campaign as they will try to qualify for the UCL for the 1st time since 1982-83.
