The 29-year-old has fallen down the pecking order under manager Erik Ten Hag and has spent last year on loan at Marseille.
Bailly joined the Red Devils back in 2016, becoming the then newly appointed coach Jose Mourinho’s first signing.
He made 113 appearances in total, scoring one goal, but injuries have plagued his stay at Old Trafford. His last competitive game for the Red Devils was back in December 2021 against Burnley.
“Our club has reached an agreement with Manchester United for the final transfer of Ivorian defender Eric Bailly.” a statement from Besiktas said.
“We wish Eric Bailly, who we believe will provide important services to our club, great success with our glorious jersey, and present it to the public with our respect.”
Bailly becomes the second United’s player to depart for the Turkish league, following the footsteps of midfielder Fred, who joined Fenerbahce last month.
