Erik Karlsson will soon be very close to the Stanley Cup when he attends the party that organizes his ex-teammate Mark Stone during the offseason.
“I will attend the Stoney’s Cup party and not touch the Stanley Cup and be like, ‘(Expletive)! Thanks for prompting me. I’m pleased for you. But damn it,’” Erik shares about the upcoming party.
The San Jose Sharks player had a phenomenal campaign as a defenceman; he finished with 101 points. If something out of the world doesn’t happen, Karlsson will triumph with his 3rd Norris Trophy at the National Hockey League Awards. He can also be named Ted Lindsay Award winner.
At 33 years old, individual accolades aren’t cutting it for Erik Karlsson — he wants his shot at a Stanley Cup and both he and Sharks GM Mike Grier know that won’t be in San Jose.

Erik can win the award and be traded within a few days, and that’s exactly what the Sharks superstar wants.
