The Washington Commanders made their 1st significant offseason inking and reunited OC Kliff Kingsbury with 1 of his ex-players. The NFL franchise from the USA capital inked veteran TE Zach Ertz to a 1-year contract.

Zach, entering his 13th campaign, agreed to a deal worth up to 5 million dollars.
The 33-year-old tight end competed in parts of 3 campaigns with the Cardinals, including 21 matches with Kliff in 2021 and ’22.
Ertz spent 7 matches with Arizona in the past campaign, catching 27 passes with 1 TD before being sidelined with a quadriceps problem. He inked to the Detroit Lions’ practice squad the week before the NFC Championship Game but didn’t get the chance to be on the roster for that match.
Arizona traded for the tight end in October 2021. Under Kingsbury, he caught a combined 103 passes for 980 yards and 7 TDs. He missed the final 7 matches of ’22 with a knee problem.
Zach spent his 1st 9 years in the NFL with the Philadelphia Eagles, catching 579 passes with 38 TDs. Ertz made the Pro Bowl each campaign from 2017 to ’19.
