The French driver survived extraordinary incident at the Bahrain Grand Prix in 2020

For the first time, the remains of Romain Grosjean’s car from his dramatic 2020 crash at Bahrain Grand Prix will go on display.

Fans can have a look at what has left from the Haas car, visiting the brand new F1 Exhibiton in Madrid opening 24 March.

The 2020 incident at the Sakhir circuit will forever be remembered as one of the all-time scariest crashes in Formula 1. The French driver pierced the steel fencing at over 140 mph, tearing his car in half and surviving in the fire for over 28 seconds, trying to escape the trap between the cockpit and the wall.

Thankfully, he managed to get out of the car and walked out of this horror only with burnings on both his hands, showing how much the safety regulations have evolved in recent dacades.
