Adrian, a crucial architect of Red Bull’s domination in Formula One and the designer with more championship-winning bolids made by him than any other, will resign from his position as a chief technical officer in the 1st quarter of 2025.
The exit will allow the designer to work with Lewis Hamilton at Ferrari or Fernando Alonso at Aston Martin, most likely for the 2026 campaign.
Newey exit will also raise questions about the future of Red Bull’s dominance in the F1, which shown signs that things are not great within the team.
The most important thing for Red Bull is if Adrian’s departure will affect the 4-time world champ Max Verstappen and make him think about leaving also.
Rumors are that the legendary designer exits the team because of boss Christian Horner’s internal misconduct probe.
