The Atlanta Falcons secured the RT position for the next few years, inking Kaleb McGary to a 2-campaign, 30 million dollar extension.
Kaleb is famous for his run-blocking prowess, but will now have to cover the blindside of left-handed QB Michael Penix Jr. The 30-year-old RT will begin his 7th campaign in the NFL. Kaleb was selected with the 31st selection by Atlanta in 2019.
When McGary spoke with the media 2 weeks ago and was asked that he has only 1 year left on his current deal, the right tackle shared that he doesn’t have a problem with that, and he is only thinking about being at his best for the upcoming campaign.
Sources: The #Falcons and RT Kaleb McGary have agreed to a 2-year, $30M extension.

He had bone spurs in his left ankle and got a scope done after the end of the past campaign. Kaleb didn’t appear in OTAs and minicamp due to the problem, but now trains alongside his teammates.
Falcons have a lot of variations of the offensive line as they have Pro Bowl RT guard Chris Lindstrom and LT Jake Matthews, who has a deal for 3 more years.
