FC Cincinnati eliminate New York Red Bulls at US Open Cup

FC Cincinnati upset the New York Red Bulls and eliminated them after penalties at Red Bull Arena in Harrison. The regular time finished 1:1.

Cincinnati’s club was very close to winning in the regular time as they were leading the whole game after Yuya Kubo scored at the end of the 1^st half after Marco Angulo’s assist.

However, the team from the Big Apple tied the clash in the extra time of the 2^nd half as Dante Vanzeir netted in the 92^nd minute.

In the end, however, Red Bulls ended up eliminated from the cup after Cincinnati scored all 5 penalties; as for New York, the hero that forced the additional time, Dante Vanzeir, missed his penalty.
