Follow usTennis legend Roger Federer was a special guest of the organizers of the Masters in Shanghai and definitely caused excitement and great interest among tennis fans in the Chinese city.
Federer gave an interview on center court ahead of Andrei Rublev’s quarter-final match against Hugo Humber yesterday, watching from the stands afterwards. The great Swiss recalled the thrilling final against Rafael Nadal in Shanghai in 2017, when he won the title after 6:4, 6:3.

Federer, of course, is constantly followed by crowds wanting a photo and an autograph. Except six years ago, he was the champion in Shanghai in 2014 as well.
Former World No. 2 and 2014 Australian Open and 2017 Roland Garros champion Li Na was also honored at the special ceremony on Center Court.
