Alonso, who finished 3rd behind the winner Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton at the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne, expects drivers to catch up shortly.

The Spanish driver finished 3rd on the podium for 3rd race in a row, as the same happened in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia in March. Both times the veteran from Spain was behind Red Bulls as the one race was won by Verstappen, and Sergio Perez was 2nd, and in the other, they exchanged their positions.
“I think, now, we are entering a part of the season that is going to be very interesting (as to) which team is developing the car (faster),” he said.
“From now on, maybe, we will see the level of the teams changing a little bit race by race, you know, depending (on) who brings an upgrade that is good enough.”
The other Aston Martin driver Lance Stroll got 4th place after Carlos Sainz was penalized for an accident with his teammate Fernando Alonso.
