Wayne Simmonds was part of the training on Sunday morning.

The forward of the Toronto Maple Leafs was not with his team on Saturday when they beat 3-0 Ottawa Senators because of an illness.

Now it seems like Simmonds is feeling a lot better, and he was skating on the ice in the early hours of Sunday.

Toronto will play against Detroit Red Wings tonight, and if needed, Wayne will be able to play and help his team.

Wayne Simmonds has 2 assists in 16 matches for the Canadian team so far this season.

Ryan O’Reilly, Noel Acciari, and Victor Mete also skate briefly, but they will not be available for tonight’s game of Maple Leafs.
