Aliyah Boston confirms for WNBA draft

South Carolina Gamecocks star told officially that she would be part of the 2023 WNBA draft.

Boston, the national player of the year for 21-22, will not return to college for her 5th year and declares that she can be chosen in the upcoming WNBA draft.

She is projected to be the number 1 pick, and Indiana Fever holds it. That is the 1st time in the history of Fever that they will draft 1st.

The draft of the WNBA will take place in New York on April 10th.

“When I first arrived on campus on that warm day in May of 2019, I had no idea what to expect as a 17-year-old.” Yet, at this moment, I am genuinely breathless as I make the next best decision of my life. I have decided to further pursue my dream by declaring for the 2023 WNBA Draft.”

Aliyah won the 2022 national championship and established South Carolina as the women’s college basketball dominant force.
