The Dutch side took the lead in the extra time of the 1st half when one of the smallest players on the pitch, Igor Paixao, scored a header after Quilindschy Hartman’s cross as the Italian team defenders left him alone.
However, Feyenoord failed to keep its lead as Romelu Lukaku netted in the 67th minute after Leonardo Spinazzola’s assist tied the game. Both teams chose to be more careful until the final whistle, and despite the referee giving 7 minutes extra time, both sides failed to create a huge chance to score.
