The Dutch side took the lead in the extra time of the 1^st half when one of the smallest players on the pitch, Igor Paixao, scored a header after Quilindschy Hartman’s cross as the Italian team defenders left him alone.

However, Feyenoord failed to keep its lead as Romelu Lukaku netted in the 67^th minute after Leonardo Spinazzola’s assist tied the game. Both teams chose to be more careful until the final whistle, and despite the referee giving 7 minutes extra time, both sides failed to create a huge chance to score.
