FIFA’s new format, Club World Cup, planned for 2025 and set to have 32 clubs, will take place from June 15 to July 13, while a new Intercontinental Cup will be played each year starting from 2025. Gianni Infantino confirmed the news today.
The world football’s governing body chose the 1st edition of the newly revamped tournament to be played in the USA.

The decision took place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and added that the UCL champion will face a club that comes through Intercontinental playoffs in the next year’s Intercontinental Cup.
“The championship will feature all current confederation premier team competition champions,” the FIFA boss shared.
The governing body also voted that Chile will host the Under-20 World Cup in 2025 and Poland will welcome the Under-20 Women’s World Cup in 2026.
Los Blancos, the Sky Blues, and Chelsea have all qualified for the Club World Cup in the United States.
