Cristiano Ronaldo has received good news before Christmas in his bid to triumph with the title in Saudi Arabia, as FIFA lifted Al-Nassr’s transfer suspension. Previously, it was announced that several clubs would be prevented from registering new footballers across a few transfer windows. Ronaldo’s team was part of that list, but now they are no longer there.
With the winter transfer window opening very soon, new players could land in Al-Nassr. It will be amazing news for Cristiano Ronaldo as he still chases his 1st Saudi Pro League title, and reinforcements would be welcomed.
The rumors are that the Saudi Arabian club was banned because of an unpaid payment that forms part of the contract that secured Aymeric Laporte’s transfer to the Middle East team from Man City during the summer of 2023.
The Sky Blues waited for 9 million euros as part of the deal, but they didn’t receive it, and that’s why Al-Nassr was handed the transfer ban. However, that was resolved quickly by the team that is led by Cristiano Ronaldo, and only a few days later, FIFA announced the lifting of the transfer ban.
🚨 𝐁𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆: Al Nassr have been confirmed as fully compliant with regulations, and the registration ban has been permanently lifted by FIFA.
