The Violets dominated in the 1st half and the Wolves can feel lucky that they were trailing with 1 goal after the 1st 45 minutes of the match. Luca Ranieri scored in the 18th minute after Nicolas Gonzalez’s assist gave Fiorentina the lead. Gianluca Mancini received a yellow card in the 6th minute and, after that, made a few fouls, but the referee didn’t show him 2nd yellow, and De Rossi replaced him in the 33rd minute to save him from being sent off.
Houssem Aouar evened the result with his goal in the 58th minute but Rolando Mandragora gave the Violets the lead again in the 69th minute.
Fiorentina were given a penalty in the 80th minute but Cristiano Biraghi missed it and that was crucial because that allows Roma to remain within 1 goal and in the last seconds of the match, Evan Ndicka assisted with a header to Diego Llorente who fired from close range for 2-2.
