AC Milan kicked-off the new season in a stellar fashion netting 9 points out of three games and standing level on points with Inter at the top of the Serie A table. Both Milan team will clash head to head on Saturday and at least one of them will lose its perfect record this season.
In Milan’s camp there is serious worries that the team may have to go into the battle without four of their players. Curiously, they are all French. First, starting forward Olivier Giroud suffered an ankle injury against Ireland with on international duty and left the French squad to return to Milanello for thorough checks.
Couple of days later Theo Hernandez and Mike Maignan were also reported with different muscle problems and although they didn’t return to Italy, will certainly miss tomorrow’s friendly against Germany.
On Sunday one more French player took a hit. Pierre Kalulu had a muscle injury during training with the Rossoneri and he is most certainly out for the game. His absence may be crucial, as the only available center backs in Stefano Pioli’s squad are now Mailck Thiaw and Simon Kjaer. Fikayo Tomori is suspended after his red card against Roma in the last round.
