Tyson Fury is fully focused on his upcoming match against former UFC champion Francis Ngannou, scheduled for October in Riyadh.
However, that may as well get disrupted as the Brit might be forced to defend his WBC title belt, following the Anthony Joshua-Deontay Wilder clash, which is eligible to determine a challenger.
Fury claimed the title from Wilder back in 2020 and has defended it successfully on three separate occasions. And the 35-year-old might be up for another challenge very soon.
Wilder has lost to Fury in their last two meeting with one draw from 2018.
Meanwhile, a potential all-British fight between Fury and Joshua has long been talked about and it is something that will certainly keep the fans on their feet.
It remains to be seen how do the matches get scheduled and what the terms will be.
“For us, we’ve agreed to terms for Joshua and Wilder, but until we receive a contract, the fight’s not happening.” promoter Eddie Hearn said.
“Everybody has agreed to terms, but until the money is put in place, the fight’s not happening.”
