Six players scored for the Germany victory as the national team won their 1st match at the World Championship after starting with 3 losses; for Denmark, that was the 1st defeat at the IIHF.
Switzerland won 4 straight matches and is in 1st place in Group B with 12 points, as Canada is right behind them with 11 points. Slovakia remains with 1 victory against Latvia but is in 5th place and still has a chance to clinch the top 4 and advance to the quarterfinals.
