Germany beat Hungary 2-0 and qualify for the last 16

Germany won against Hungary 2-0 at MHPArena in Stuttgart and secured its place to the next phase of the tournament with game in hand.

The young Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala scored the opening goal in the 21^st minute after Ilkay Gundogan’s assist. The Barcelona midfielder doubled the result himself in the 2^nd half after receiving a phenomenal ball inside the penalty area from Maximilian Mittelstadt and secured the 2^nd straight win of the home nation at the European championship.

The result means that Nagelsmann’s players advanced to the elimination phase of the Euro 2024. The only question mark is if they will finish 1^st or 2^nd as that will be decided in their last match in the group stage against Switzerland as the top of the group would most certainly mean easier opponent in the 1/8 finals.
