The New York Giants have dismissed DC Shane Bowen. Interim manager Mike Kafka decided it was the organization (2-10) that blew a double-digit lead and was defeated by the Lions in OT yesterday to become the 1st franchise eliminated from postseason contention. It was their 6th consecutive defeat and 5th in the current campaign after leading in the 4th quarter.
Outside LB coach Charlie Bullen is being named interim DC, and he will have the task to stop the negative series, especially away from home of the Giants, as that was the team’s 12th consecutive defeat dating to last campaign in a visit, extending an organization record. All 5 of the current season’s blown double-digit leads have been when they didn’t play at home.
As first reported by @art_stapleton, the Giants are firing defensive coordinator Shane Bowen.

New York is 2-5 in matches in which they have held at least a 10-point lead. The team has been defeated in a National Football League high 5 matches after leading in the 4th quarter. In October in Denver, the Giants became the 1st organization since at least 1970 to lead by 18-plus points with 6 minutes until the end of the match and be defeated in regular time.
