Detroit beat Dallas and almost ended their chances for the playoffs.

Jahmyr Gibbs and a defense that played at the highest level, along with turnovers, helped the Detroit Lions stay in contention for a place in the postseason.

He ran for 3 TDs, including a 13-yarder with almost 2 minutes until the end of the match that secured the 44-30 victory against the Dallas Cowboys on TNF.

Detroit sacked Prescott 5 times – 7 days after they had no sacks and were defeated by the Packers – and had 2 picks and recovered a fumble.

“You saw how everybody showed their best level as we knew that only a victory would keep our chances for the playoffs,” Goff shared.

Lions (8-5) avoided losing straight matches for the 1st time in more than 3 seasons. Detroit remains outside the postseason picture with 4 matches left, but they improved their chances considerably.

“My players didn’t panic,” the Lions boss Dan Campbell claimed after the game. “That was our best game this season.”

The Lions’ chances to reach the postseason are now over 50%, while those of the Cowboys fell to below 10%, according to the league.
