Olivier Giroud has revealed he feels “more motivated than ever” before Milan’s crunch Champions League 1/2 final match against Inter.
The Frenchman’s hunger for the big trophy hasn’t waned away even at the age of 36 as he is seeking a second Champions League gold medal.
Giroud was part of Chelsea’s team that clinched the title in 2021 even though he took no part in the final.
He left London that summer for Milan and has enjoyed a brilliant spell with the Italian side, clinching the Serie A last season.
Now he has a chance to replicate his success from 2021 and help Milan lift their first Champions League trophy since 2007.
“I’m nearly 37 years old, but I have the same motivations as a young boy,” he said.
“I’m more motivated than ever. It’s a great opportunity to win the Champions League.
“A derby is always a special match. I am very proud of this Milan team and we hope to do something great tomorrow.”
