World No. 3 Stefanos Tsitsipas, who reached the Australian Open final last month, and his renowned tennis coach Patrick Mouratoglou, have decided to go their separate ways.
The split comes less than a couple of weeks after the Greek star’s successful run in Melbourne, where he reached the second Grand Slam final of his career.
According to Sportsfeed, Tsitsipas would be coached solely by his father Apostolos and Mark Philippoussis.
Mouratoglou, who is best known for coaching the likes of Serena Williams, Simona Halep, Holger Rune, and many more, was only a regular presence in Tsitsipas’ coaching unit.
Tsitsipas regularly trained at Mouratoglou’s academy in Nice, France, as part of their agreement. The arrangement allowed Mouratoglou and his academy to use world no. 3 to promote their training facilities.
