The 2019 1st-round selection had been playing the current campaign on an almost 11 million dollar 5th-year option of his rookie deal.
Rashan’s new contract includes 96 million dollars in new money, including a 35 million dollar inking bonus. The total value of the contract, which runs through the 2027 campaign, could secure him almost 108 million dollars with bonuses.
Gary was very close to inking an extension in the past, but he tore his ACL in the past season. Green Bay decided to wait and see him on the field before offering him an extension, and from what the organization saw since the beginning of the current season, the only thing that they could do was offer him the money that he deserved.
Gary admitted that his injury made him even a better player today than he was in the past.
