The Sky Blues head coach, Pep Guardiola, shared that Erling Haaland will miss his club’s upcoming UCL match vs. Red Star Belgrade but admitted that he thinks the Norwegian will be ready to practice on Thursday.
The Norway international, who is the side’s top scorer with 19 goals in all tournaments in the current campaign, was not part of the group of Manchester City’s 2-1 victory against Luton Town on Sunday because of a foot problem. It was the 1st Premier League match that Haaland had failed to start this campaign.
“Erling will be back on Thursday, the day after tomorrow, and we will assess how everything is going on,” Pep shared in a news conference today ahead of the Champions League reigning champions’ next match in the tournament in Serbia.
