Pep Guardiola shared that his team 1st Champions League triumph was “written in the stars” and admired Manchester City for keeping him head coach when others might dismiss him for failing to win the CL for so long.
The Spaniard secured the Sky Blues 1st CL title in Istanbul after a 1-0 victory against Inter, as the goal netted Rodri in the 2nd half.
“Inter play very well. Be patient, I told my player after the first 45 minutes. You need luck. This competition is a coin toss,” the Sky Blues manager claimed.
“It was written in the stars. It’s ours now.”
This campaign was Pep’s 7th attempt to become champions of Europe with the Sky Blues, and he thinks his failures till now in the Champions League might have earned him dismissal at other teams.
