Haaland equals Premier League’s season most goals record

Manchester City Norwegian striker tied the achievement for most goals in a 38-match EPL season after scoring twice against Leicester City.

Erling Haaland has the same number of goals for a season in the league as Liverpool’s striker Mohamed Salah who did it in Premier League’s 17-18 season.

Man. City will play 8 more matches until the end of the season, and Erling only needs one more goal to be alone at the top.

Andy Cole with Newcastle (93-94) and Alan Shearer with Blackburn (94-95) each scored 34 goals in Premier League but in a 42-match season – 4 more than the current format.

Erling scored 47 goals this season in all competitions, as this is the 1^st year of the striker with Manchester City and also in Premier League.
