“Today, I retired from playing basketball,” Gordon claimed. “It’s been a phenomenal ride, and I want to express my gratitude to everyone who helped me achieve more than I ever dreamed.”
The forward – the 9th overall selection in the 2010 NBA Draft by the Utah Jazz – was an All-Star in 2017 with the Jazz before inking with Boston as a free agent that year. Gordon sustained a gruesome leg problem in his 1st match for the Celtics, a problem that sidelined him that campaign and saw him need another 1 to get in shape.
In the past campaign, he averaged almost 10 points, 3.5 boards, and over 3 assists in 51 matches with the Hornets and OKC. Harward was traded to the Thunder midseason as part of an exchange Oklahoma City believed would help them in the postseason. Gordon, however, didn’t notch a basket in 7 postseason matches.
Gordon (34) finished his career in the league, averaging over 15 points, almost 4.5 boards, and 3.5 assists per match.
