Right-hander Jordan Hicks and the San Francisco Giants reached an agreement on a 4-year, 44-million-dollar deal that will make him a full-time starter.
Jordan has experience as a starter, playing there almost exclusively in his 2 minor league campaigns and spending 8 matches in the rotation with the St. Louis Cardinals 2 years ago.

His new contract with San Francisco can earn him up to 2 million dollars in bonuses each season.
The contract, which is pending a physical, adds Hicks to a deep chart of starting options for the Giants. Ace Logan Webb is, without a doubt, the only guarantee in the Giants’ rotations. The MLB franchise traded for ex-Cy Young winner Robbie Ray, who is returning from a Tommy John procedure after the All-Star break, while veteran Alex Cobb will miss the start of the new campaign after a hip procedure.
