Indiana Pacers are trying to part ways with Buddy Hield after the two sides failed to agree on the player’s new contract. The guard’s current deal expires at the end of the upcoming season.
Hield, who will turn 31 in December, averaged 16.8 points, 5 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game last season. He is the only player in the NBA to make at least 1,000 three-pointers since the start of the pandemic in 2020.
The Bahamas international has been playing for Indiana since the middle of the 2021/22 season. Previously he spent five years with the Sacramento Kings and began his NBA career with the New Orleans Pelicans.
