Hockey Canada has a new president and CEO after they appointed Katherine Henderson today.
That is one of the steps to reshape Hockey Canada after Scott Smith left last year. Scott resigned last fall from being president & CEO as all board of directors did the same.
Welcome/bienvenue, Katherine!
Katherine Henderson has been hired as Hockey Canada’s president and chief executive officer.

“Katherine has all the qualities to lead the organization’s ongoing transformation,” shared Hon. Hugh L. Fraser, chair of the Hockey Canada directors. “With Henderson at the top, we are assured that we will continue to do whatever it takes to guarantee hockey is a respected and inclusive sport and that the organization benefits from best-in-class leadership.”
She previously worked as president of Curling Canada, where she started in 2016.
“The game’s future on the ice is infinite,” Katherine claimed after her appointment.
