Roy Hodgson will no longer serve as Crystal Palace’s head coach, the team shared today. The announcement comes amid a continued poor run of form and days after Hodgson was hospitalized after collapsing in training.

The 76-year-old ex-England head coach has since left hospital and is “alright,” the Eagles revealed. Roy left his managerial position hours before Palace are scheduled to face Everton.
He was the oldest head coach in the league after coming out of retirement in the past campaign to help the side avoid relegation in 2022-23, but the Eagles are performing very poor since the beginning of the current campaign.
Hodson final match as Crystal Palace boss was last week’s 3-1 loss against Chelsea, when the Eagles gave up a 1-goal halftime lead. The team have not kept a clean sheet in 13 Premier League games and are in the 16th place with 24 points, only 5 ahead of the relegation zone.
Ex-Eintracht Frankfurt manager Oliver Glasner will replace Hodgson as the head coach of the Eagles.
