The American, who triumphed in 2019 in Qatar and 2022 in his home country, had the lead after the 1st hurdle, and by the 3rd, he was sprinting by himself at the top, finishing with the best time in the current year – 12.96 seconds.
Grant held up 3 fingers after finishing the race, hollering “One-two-three!” as the fans loved it.
“I’m very happy now,” Holloway shared after winning the gold medal. “Nothing feels like the 1st one, but every title has a special place in my heart.”
Jamaican Hansle Parchment won the silver medal, while the bronze medal went to Grant’s compatriot, Daniel Roberts.
Holloway’s greatest goal will be to win the gold at the Olympics in Paris next year, as he finished 2nd at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021.
