Hughes (32), born in Hamilton, Ont., shot a six-over 76 at the tournament in Cromwell, Connecticut, before withdrawing from TPC River Highlands.
The player from Canada is number 68 in the world and 35th on the FedEx Cup rank, as his best achievement recently happened last year when he triumphed at the Sanderson Farms Championship in October.
We are hearing from “sources” that Mackenzie Hughes (illness) showed up 10 minutes before his tee time and only hit 10 balls at the range before heading out…@NUCLRGOLF#TravelersChampionship#TravelersChamp
