Inter Miami has denied that it gave a positive answer to play in the Riyadh Season Cup friendly tournament next year in February vs. Al Nassr, which could have seen Leo Messi competing against Cristiano Ronaldo 1 last time.
Event organizers in the Middle East country had shared “The Last Dance” event via social media at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, as they didn’t give exact dates.
However, the MLS team denied being part of the tournament after the organizers announced such an event involving Messi’s side.
“Earlier on Tuesday, an announcement was issued stating that our club is scheduled to participate in the Riyadh Season Cup. That is not true,” the Inter Miami CF Communications Department shared on social media. “The release included information attributed to Chief Jorge Mas. Mas has not shared such things, publicly or privately, about Inter Miami’s preseason.
