AC Milan crashed in the city derby against Inter and lost 1:5 on Saturday night.
Despite the heavy defeat, the Rossoneri coach Stefano Pioli believes that it is still too early and his team has not lost anything more than one match, from which the players should learn their lessons.
“I don’t agree with those who say we should apologize to Milan fans. Do you think we wanted to get five goals from Inter? You should apologize when you do something on purpose. We conceded goals at times when it looked like we could get the game back on track. It’s a shame to lose in the derby, especially with such a devastating result, but we were in the game until the third goal.”
“We needed to be more solid and aware”

“At times, Inter were smarter and quicker than us in the decisive moments. Obviously, we can do better and we will work to better understand these situations. It is natural at the beginning of the season with so many changes to have difficulties. The main thing now is to prepare for the Champions League. My team is mature and will be able to analyze what went wrong so we can do better on Tuesday. It’s only the beginning of the season and we have everything we need to be competitive,” said Pioli, as quoted by Football Italia, as quoted by DAZN.
