Ons Jabeur defeated Aryna Sabalenka and for the second year in a row will play in the final of the third Grand Slam tournament of the year Wimbledon.
The Tunisian, ranked sixth, topped the tennis player from Belarus 6:7 (5), 6:4, 6:3 after almost 2 and a half hours of play. The defeat deprived the second-seeded Sabalenka of the opportunity to top the WTA world rankings as she was looking at the title to sit on the top spot.
Jabeur lost last year’s final to Elena Rybakina, and will now try to win the title in a match against the Czech Marketa Vondrousova, who earlier today beat Elina Svitolina.
