After a campaign in which Lamar Jackson claimed Baltimore gave him the keys to the offense, the Ravens are planning a bigger role for its All-Pro QB in the upcoming campaign.
“Jackson is a driver. Lamar must be involved in the car’s setup even more,” Baltimore boss John Harbaugh shared today at the organization’s end-of-campaign news conference.
In his 1st campaign under offensive coordinator Todd Monken, the Ravens quarterback set career highs with 3,678 passing yards and over 67% completion rates. The QB admitted that the new offensive coordinator gave him more freedom to change plays during the games during the whole campaign.
After discussing it with Lamar, the quarterback will have an even bigger role in the upcoming NFL season and decide the team’s offensive schemes and other aspects of the offense in real-time.
Lamar has the best chance to triumph next week with his 2nd NFL MVP trophy.
