The LA Lakers’ plan to help LeBron James to play his basketball into the 21st campaign involves getting the right players in the team, not resting him more.
“James, he does a great job taking care of himself,” Los Angeles manager Darvin Ham shared at a news conference ahead of the beginning of Lakers’ training camp in the upcoming days. “The organization that’s around him now, the pieces that we have in the team, those guys are going to be ready and do much heavy lifting early.”
Rob Pelinka said Lebron James has prepared for season 21 “like a rookie”.
Pelinka added that Lebron has had multiple 6AM workouts to in order to be at his best for this season. #Lakeshow— Nick Hamilton (@NickHamilton213) September 28, 2023
LeBron, who will turn 39 in the last month of the year, averaged almost 36 minutes per match in the past campaign, which is a tick down from the 37 minutes per clash he appeared in the 2021-22 but was still more time he spent on the court in any of his 1st 3 campaigns with the franchise.
