The Winnipeg Jets have announced they have inked striker Mark Scheifiele and goaltender Connor Hellebuyck to similar 7-year contract, worth around $8.5 m per year.
It is a huge boost for the Jets as two of their most important players are now tied with the club until 2030. Both contract include option for them to stay beyond that mark.

Hellebuyck, who won the Vezina in 2019-20, is coming off another fantastic season in 2022-23, notching a fabulous 37-25-2 record along with four shutouts and a .920 save percentage. As a result, he was voted third for the Vezina trophy.
Meanwhile Scheifele is coming off a career-best season in 2022023, where he notched 42 goals and 26 assists for 68 points in 82 games. The 30-year-old was instrumental in Winnipeg’s attack, serving as their main weapon in the power-play unit.
