The 26-year-old at first wobbled holding onto his right leg, but eventually fell to the ground.
Later its was revealed that it was a calf injury, according to Bengals’ coach Zac Taylor. Burrow was covering his calf with a protective sleeve.
“Sometimes players feel a little sore after the first day,” Taylor said when asked about Burrow wearing the sleeve on his right calf.
“I’m not the expert here, but my gut says Joe will be OK.”
Burrow is yet to seal a deal with Cincinnati, who are keen on tying him up long term with a contract that could potentially make him one of the highest-paid players in the NFL.
