Aaron Gordon scored 27 points, Jamal Murray added 24 points for the Nuggets while the reigning, back-to-back KIA MVP racked up 15 points, 13 rebounds and 14 assists.
“It’s nice to be compared with a guy who’s probably one of the best ever,” Jokic said. “It’s some kind of legacy that I leave behind.”

Jokic, now in his eighth season in the NBA, is averaging 19.7 points, 10.4 rebounds and 6.3 assists while shooting 54.3% for his career. His assists are up to a career-best 9.1 average through the season’s opening eight games.
”Was it a complete 48 minutes? No,” Nuggets coach Michael Malone said. ”But the thing I’m most proud about is that even when they were on that huge run in the third quarter and we just seemed to stop playing any defense and we turned the ball over ad nauseam, we regrouped. We didn’t panic.”
