New Orleans Pelicans star Herb Jones has agreed to a 3-year, 68 million dollar deal extension with the organization, as his agents shared the news with the media.
Herb now has a total of 5 years and almost 100 million dollars on his New Orleans contract, with a new player option for the 2029-30.

The forward has risen from a 2nd-round selection in the 2021 NBA Draft to a 2-way leader for the franchise, being selected as part of the 2023-24 All-Defensive 1st team. Jones is 1 of the 8 basketballers with 350 steals and 150 blocks since he entered the NBA. Herb has ranked in the top 10 in defense vs. isolations in the last 2 campaigns among basketballers to defend at least 150 isolations.
He also shot a career-best 42% on 3-pointers 2 years ago. Jones appeared in only 20 matches in the past campaign because of shoulder/labrum problems, which were the fewest in a campaign in the league. Despite that, the Pelicans trust him and bet on him to be part of the future of the organization.
