Anthony Joshua has expressed his eagerness to face Tyson Fury in the ring but remains skeptical about Fury’s chances in his upcoming rematch against Oleksandr Usyk. Fury, who lost to Usyk in their first encounter for the undisputed heavyweight title in May, will have an opportunity to reclaim his standing when he faces the undefeated Ukrainian once more on December 21.
Joshua, who is set to fight Daniel Dubois for a world title on September 21, anticipates that Usyk will again emerge victorious over Fury. In an interview with Queensberry Promotions, Joshua shared his thoughts on the rematch: “I think it will be a tough fight at the beginning, but I feel that Usyk will win again. He’s a class boxer, and I believe Usyk is one of the best out there. That’s why I think he’ll win.”
Looking ahead to a possible showdown with Fury in 2025, Joshua emphasized the importance of the fight happening: “It has to happen; it just takes a lot of time, but it has to happen. But he has his hands full, and so do I. Let’s both handle our business, and we’ll see a positive 2025, I’m sure of that because we know the people listening want good things to happen. But let’s focus on Daniel, that’s our main goal, and we’ll see what happens there.”
